Lives and works in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and is a graduate of the Polytechnical Institute at Bishkek, Faculty of Architecture. Djaparov works as an artist and curator. He is a former editor of the Central Asian almanac Kurak. He is also one of the founders of Studio Museum in Bishkek, a venue that has supported the development of many multidisciplinary art projects by artists since the early 1990s. SHAILO DJEKSHENBAEV

Studied architecture at Frunze Polytechnic Institute, Kyrgyzstan, and directed animated films in Moscow. His achievements in architecture and animation were acknowledged by the State Awards and led to several prizes at international animation film festivals. For the past two decades the artist has focused primarily on photography - his long-time passion since youth. Artist and businesswoman from Kyrgyzstan. She uses traditional hand-rolling techniques in a novel way to fuse wool felt and high quality silk into exquisite one-of-a-kind textiles. Aidai uses a portion of her profits to reinvest in the economic development of her native village, Ton, which is on the southern shore of captivating Lake Issyk Kul, in rural Kyrgyzstan. SHAARBEK AMANKUL

Lives and works in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Amankul graduated in Art and History from the Kyrgyz State College of Arts in Bishkek in 1980. He usually works in a documentary style, focusing on particular events, or fragments of them, in ways that make them expressive or symbolic of widespread current social or political tendencies. Amankul is also currently the director of B'Art: Bishkek Art Centre in Kyrgyzstan. His works have been seen throughout Europe and Central Asia, as well as in the United States. Aida holds B.A. Degree in Digital Communications and Media from New York University. Aida assists HMA2 in coordination and implementation of the Public Art Program for AUCA project in Kyrgyzstan, which promotes various public art opportunities for local artists and art organizations encouraging community engagement and participation in the arts. Most of Aida's artwork relates to current social issues and the transformative power of art.
